This is a question that dances like a skater in the minds of business owners – probably you as well.
Some are skeptical about the length of time it will take for them to start seeing results if they start implementing email marketing in their business.
In this article, I will share my own experience working with clients over the years as well as in my own business.
Alright Sparky, let's ride..
The length of time it will take you before you make money from your email marketing is based on a whole lot of factors.
Some of these factors include:
The awareness level of your target audience.
The level of your online visibility – Are you just starting out or have been in the game for a long while?
The degree to which you bond with your email list.
How solid and enticing the offer you want to promote is
And lots more…
If you want to make money with your email list time and over again, then you must be ready to create a special bond with them.
This involves sharing value that helps position you as the expert in their minds and as the go-to solution to their challenges.
You can also share personal stories that have to do with work, career, family, etc.. (Just make sure you don't divulge personal secrets that might harm you in the future).
Over the years, I have discovered that if you want to do email marketing, you must be ready to do it for the long-term.
And when I say long term, it can be for as long as the business lives.
There was a time (some years ago) a subscriber to my email list became a customer after 8 months.
Yes, I mean 8 solid months.
He paid me a solid 5-figure for a one-on-one training after getting value from my emails.
For a female coach I worked with recently, we began to make money from her email list after about 3-5 months of setting up her email marketing system.
So, the time frame to make money from your email list varies and it depends on so many factors.
The bottom line is that you must be ready to do this long term if you want to get results.
If you want the quick bucks, then I can tell you that email marketing MAY NOT work or give you the kind of results you desire at a short notice.
I hope that makes sense.
